The Lilac Room
I have been once and again
To a room
A room known for beauty
Unique in its diversity
A room that does not move
For its space is infinite
Now standing again in this room
The first and last visit
Yet again
something seems to have stayed
The furniture seems to me same?
Had I taken a picture,
eternally i would remember
Yet again
one thing is for sure
It never looked so bad
The lilacs are gone!
I’m sure they were right here
Yet again
is it time to leave?
Wait! Let me bring something to remember
What a wonderful lilac
It’s the last one!
yet again
We are here
yet… again
Where are the lilacs?
It was so much better with them
I take the last one
Yet again
Yet.. Again
I am here
It disgusts me
Its in such a mess
Who did this?
Lets get out of here
Yet again
are you with me?
Can you see what they have done
The blood trickling towards my feet
I scream and run through the door
I am here
Yet again
Faster and faster
I run
Have I been the one in this room
You! What happened?
Tell me
Say it wasn’t me?
..
Swinging violently
Determined to leave
Has it grown smaller now?
No time to think
Lashing my way out
The harder I hit
The smaller it gets
And I just spiral down into a speck
Yet again…

This is supposed to be about depression… a vicious cycle plunging down into darkness
